Bio Rodolfo Blanco
The New not so New Artist
Rodolfo Blanco was born in Torreon Coahuila Mexico. He found inspiration in drawing particularly television cartoons at an early age, interested in imitating the vibrant colors television emitted.
Upon arrival to the US, he focused in the elaboration of abstract and minimal paintings, as a result of the poor joy found in the drawing or painting of ordinary every day objects or nature.
His next artistic exploration was in the photography of abandoned found objects, like old couches left out on the street and garbage, Blanco sought to bring back to life these items finding them a new view perspective and a broader appreciation of color and concept. This form of art eventually led to creating the animated format of video, these art videos, conceptual in nature, became the basis of Blanco’s current works.
Now residing in Puerto Vallarta, Blanco has found new ways of expressing his creativity thru the creation of large scale murals and interior designing adding a new experience thru his artistic career. Blanco's now paintings, photography and video represent abstract and minimal art form learned in the inspiration conceived in the works of Andy Warhol, Picasso, Keith Haring and Basquiat.
